Lou Chiccehitto

Treasurer & Program Director

What do they do at BMF?

Lou is a founder, the Treasurer, and a Board Member of the Big Man Foundation (BMF). As Treasurer, Lou manages and oversees the financial affairs of the organization. This includes operating the accounts with our financial institution, reconciling bank statements, and managing our cash flow.

What do they do outside of BMF?

Prior to joining The Big Man Foundation, Lou has spent over five years coaching football and working for Young Life. Young Life is an international faith-based nonprofit that is founded on building relationships with young people on their turf. As an Area Director, Lou recruits & trains volunteers, fosters community, works with teams, raises that annual budget, and does direct ministry with high schoolers.

Since Young Life is all about relationships, coaching is the perfect marriage. Lou started his coaching journey while attending James Madison University, volunteering at a local high school for three years. After college, Lou spend the 2014 season with the JMU football team as the quarterbacks intern. In 2015, Lou go a job as an assistant coach at Liberty High School in Bealeton, VA, and has been there ever since, spending the last four years as the Offensive Coordinator.

Why did they join BMF?

As a close friend to Casey Kroll and a member of the JMU football community, Lou got to meet Coach Powell and witness the impact he's had on so many different circles. Lou believes Coach Powell's fight is one worth fighting. Lou believes in serving those in need, and through BMF, that's what we do.
